Austrian K4 Peadot Camouflage is a military camouflage pattern used by the Austrian Armed Forces (Bundesheer) during the Cold War era. It was introduced in the 1950s and was inspired by the German Pea Dot (Erbsenmuster) camouflage used by the Waffen-SS in World War II. The K4 Peadot pattern features a mix of small, irregularly shaped dots in various shades of green, brown, and beige, designed to provide effective concealment in European woodland environments.
Unlike its German predecessor, the Austrian K4 pattern was adapted to fit post-war military needs, with modifications in color and fabric to suit modern uniforms. It was used primarily by Austrian troops until it was phased out in favor of newer camouflage patterns like the Austrian Flecktarn (M75 and later M58). Today, the K4 Peadot camouflage is highly sought after by military collectors due to its historical significance and distinctive appearance.
