Rare 1930s Running Spiked Shoes
Incredible spike sole sports shoes with elegant Gator leather motifs on side. Also check the “15” stamp on the tongue of the shoe, I think that’s a batch number or leather hide marker.
A vibram sole on these would unlock a lost silhouette
G.T. Law & Sons — A Wimbledon Running Legacy
Founded in 1896, G.T. Law & Sons established a remarkable reputation for crafting high-quality running shoes and spikes from their premises in Wimbledon.
The family business became closely associated with British athletics, producing bespoke footwear for some of the country’s leading runners. Their craftsmanship reached its most historic moment in 1954, when Sir Roger Bannister wore specially made G.T. Law spikes when he became the first athlete to run a mile in under four minutes.
