Rare Demob WW2 Trilby Hat Dated 1945

A very rare hat issued by the government for demobilisation  of servicemen during the second world war. All men were issued a Demob suit and outfit to return to civilian life post WW2 and to help aid them to getting a new career and life.

This hat has incredible shape and details with this funky modern like air vent to allow air inside the hat.

The Demob Suit was a civilian outfit given to many British servicemen and women after World War II as they were demobilized and returned to civilian life. Introduced by the British Government in 1945, the suit helped veterans who often had no civilian clothing after years in uniform. Although some people joked about its plain style, the Demob Suit became a symbol of the transition from military service to normal life and represented a fresh start for thousands returning home.
